Your new role, what’s involved
As a Technical Director, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects from universities to high-rise residential towers, with plenty of international projects. The goal is to enable innovative architectural design without compromising the fire safety of the building.
* You’ll run through design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures.
* Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
* Help inform the design team about changes that could increase the safety of the building.
* Expect to be guided through a variety of software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates, especially as you start.
* We assist the successful candidate toward professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations.
Qualifications
* BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
* Role based from any of the UK major offices.
