Overview
Care Assistant (Social Care)
* Salary: £13.36 per hour weekdays, £15.36 per hour weekends
* Mileage: 45p per mile tax-free
* Contract: Permanent with guaranteed hours
* Hours: Part-time, 18-30 hours per week, includes working every other weekend
* Shifts: 7am – 2:30pm, 4pm – 11pm - mixture of shifts required to be worked
Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential. Travel required – you will be required to travel around West Essex including Harlow, Loughton, Epping, Waltham Abbey, Great Dunmow and Thaxted.
Responsibilities
* As a Care Assistant in reablement, help customers regain independence and continue living in their own home
* Assist with relearning skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation
* No previous experience required; training provided
* After induction, work with a mentor who will support you until you are confident in the role
* Progress within the company with ongoing specialist training, nationally recognised qualifications and well-being support
* Travel between customers is paid; time travelled is counted as paid time
