About The Role
As Operations Manager at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers. You will oversee warehouse processes and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched correctly, and that productivity targets are met.
Main Duties include:
* Manage the organisation and performance of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns, and Stock Control departments.
* Pick and load vans or carriers accurately for timely customer delivery.
* Verify stock quantities against computer records.
* Develop effective solutions to challenges using personal judgment and initiative.
* Ensure smooth warehouse operations and assist the branch manager with holiday/sickness cover, weekly planning, team development, and coordination with drivers for optimal delivery service.
* Assist the General Manager with PARC report KPIs.
* Create a positive environment where employees are valued and can develop their potential.
Working hours:
45 hours on average, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturdays.
About You
You should have a proven track record in managing a warehouse, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Warehouse/Operations Management experience
* Ability to motivate and lead a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure
* Customer and sales focus
* Experience with MAM is desirable but not essential
