We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Duties
* Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
* Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
* Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and record accordingly
* Support clients with meal preparation and feeding if required
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in condition
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care delivery
* Assist with light domestic tasks to promote a comfortable living environment
* Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as necessary
Qualifications
* Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
* Good understanding of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
* Excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
* Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
