About the Role
Our client, a leading FMCG business based in North Lanarkshire, is seeking a proactive and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum plus overtime earning potential and private medical cover.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to ensure maximum plant uptime
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair breakdowns swiftly to minimise production downtime
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing engineering solutions
* Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency
* Carry out routine inspections and document maintenance activities in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations
* Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery and equipment
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
* Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, including PLC troubleshooting (preferably Siemens or Allen Bradley)
* Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving production setting
* Relevant qualifications in engineering or electrical disciplines (e.g. HNC, City & Guilds)
