SNG(Sovereign Network Group) was formed in October 2023 through the merger of Sovereign and Network Homes.
We provide over 85,000 homes and invest in communities across the South, West and East of England, including London, as well as aiming to create thousands of new affordable homes every year.
We're now looking for an IT Service Transition Lead to join our team in either Basingstoke on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, combining both office and home working.
The Role
As an IT Service Transition Lead, you\'ll help us ensure new IT services are transitioned seamlessly into live operations, from operational readiness planning through to Early Life Support (ELS), Hypercare, and final handover into business-as-usual (BAU).This role will also provide occasional cover for Service Design responsibilities in line with project demand, ensuring continuity and consistency across the service lifecycle.
You\'ll work closely with project teams, service owners, IT operations, and external partners to ensure all acceptance criteria are met, and that services are stable, resilient, and fully supportable before going live.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Leading all service transition activities providing ad-hoc support and input to Service Design activities to maintain service continuity and seamless transition.
* Developing and executing detailed transition plans, including ELS/Hypercare models.
* Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with service design and business requirements.
* Managing risks, issues, and dependencies associated with IT transitions.
* Producing and maintaining high-quality transition documentation.
* Engaging proactively with business users, technical teams, and third-party providers.
* Providing regular updates and reports on progress, risks, and challenges.
* Driving process improvements to enhance the service transition function.
What We\'re Looking For
* Proven experience in IT service transition within an IT or digital services environment.
* Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is highly desirable, preferably supported by ITIL certification.
* Strong knowledge of service transition principles, methodologies, and best practices.
* Ability to manage multiple IT transitions simultaneously.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Experience developing transition plans, risk assessments, and support materials documentation.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
