Our Retail Team is responsible for all aspects of William Hill’s in-store technology, focusing on integrating the online experience into our 1400+ retail shops in the UK. Your role is to keep our colleagues and customers connected by updating our existing platform and systems, ensuring cutting-edge technology is accessible at their fingertips.
We are adopting AWS at scale, releasing high-volume system upgrades across our shops. From cloud infrastructure to tangible technology on the ground, we cover it all.
As a Full Stack Engineer based in Leeds, you will ensure value delivery to colleagues and customers, uphold best practices, and contribute to team improvement.

What you will be doing
1. Implementing and documenting solutions collaboratively with Developers, Testers, and Solution Architects.
2. Ensuring software integrity and managing technical debt with Site Reliability teams.
3. Supporting the development of best practices and standards, collaborating with Product Owners on technical and non-technical requirements.
4. Collaborating with Delivery Managers on delivery processes.
5. Participating in pair programming, reviewing code, and providing constructive feedback.
6. Working with QA to align tests with solutions and supporting CI & release pipelines.
7. Organizing and executing releases.
Who we are looking for

* Possess broad knowledge of web software development and best engineering practices (SOLID), with experience working in multi-team environments with dependencies.
* Have some knowledge of AWS technologies such as Docker, REST API, Linux, Bash, Python, Puppet, New Relic, Terraform, and experience with automated testing frameworks like TestCafe.
