Job Role
We're looking for exceptional people to join our National Careers Service Team, as either a trainee or a qualified Careers Adviser.
We seek individuals who enjoy helping others. You may come from a sales, teaching, or recruitment background, or have experience in delivering careers advice and working in a target-focused environment. An engaging personality and a can-do attitude are essential to provide a warm, welcoming experience and help customers progress in their careers.
The role requires flexibility, as each day varies. You will make customers feel comfortable, engage with diverse backgrounds, hold 1-1 appointments and group workshops in various settings, including careers fairs, community venues, and pop-ups. Organizational skills for managing your diary and completing admin tasks, along with confidence in using IT, are necessary. The role is target-driven to meet objectives set with our commissioners.
Your skills will empower customers to develop career plans, support their learning and development, and monitor progress to build confidence towards employment or learning goals.
We provide on-the-job training and support to achieve a Level 4 Certificate in Careers Information and Guidance if you do not already hold it.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,545 per annum, along with benefits including:

Key Responsibilities

* Build relationships with stakeholders such as community providers, Job Centre Plus, and local authorities
* Deliver group sessions at various venues, including careers events and job fairs
Skills and Experience
* Level 4 qualification in Careers, Information, Advice, and Guidance, or willingness to work towards it
* Knowledge of the local labour market
* Experience in target-driven environments
* Understanding of the careers and employability industry and recruitment sector
* Experience working with diverse individuals in providing advice and guidance
* Full driving license for deployment across regions, if required
