We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of new electrical systems from concept through to production. This role offers a blend of design, validation, and hands-on testing within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* Support the design and development of electrical systems from concept through to final manufacture
* Undertake design validation through calculations and analysis to demonstrate compliance with requirements
* Liaise with test facilities, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to support project delivery
* Carry out hands-on testing, prototyping, and verification within an on-site test facility
* Produce and control engineering documentation including drawings, test documents, and bills of materials
Essential Skills and Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
* Strong understanding of electrical systems design, build, test, and commissioning
* Experience producing design and technical specifications
* Maritime or related industry experience (Advantageous – not essential)
