About the role:
We are looking for a commercially minded Category Manager to join our UK team, based in our London Bridge office.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take ownership of their category while continuing to develop within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work across the UK, Ireland and Europe, using data, shopper and market insights to help shape category strategies and drive growth for both Australian Vintage and our retail partners.
You will have the opportunity to lead key areas of the category, while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing and senior team members to refine recommendations and bring insight-led thinking to life.
We operate a hybrid working model, with 3 days in office / 2 days from home, offering a balance of collaboration and flexibility.
What you’ll do:
* Take ownership of key areas of the category, delivering insight-led recommendations aligned to shopper needs and retailer priorities
* Lead and support category reviews, identifying opportunities across range, space, pricing and merchandising
* Analyse data to generate clear, commercially relevant insights and recommendations
* Work across multiple data sources (e.g. NIQ, Dunnhumby, retailer platforms) to build a strong understanding of performance
* Monitor category and market trends, highlighting risks and opportunities
* Build strong working relationships with internal teams and retail customers
* Support retailer conversations with clear, data-led insights
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver aligned category plans
* Champion the voice of the shopper in day-to-day decision making
What you’ll bring:
* Experience in a category, insights or commercial role, ideally within FMCG or retail
* Strong analytical skills, with experience working with data sources such as NIQ, Kantar or retailer platforms
* Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
* Some experience or exposure to working with UK retailers (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons)
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
* Good stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build relationships and communicate effectively
* A commercial mindset and interest in shopper and market dynamics
* A proactive and driven approach, with the ambition to take ownership and grow within the role
