2-3 Months with a local authority Summary Leading a team of caretakers, this role is pivotal in managing all aspects of line management, including overseeing and supporting training and development. Responsibilities include conducting regular one-to-one supervision meetings, assessing health and wellbeing, ensuring health and safety compliance, and managing performance, conduct, and sickness absence in accordance with Council policy and procedures. Responsibilities Regularly inspect and monitor estate services, including estate lighting, horticulture, communal repairs, waste collections, play areas, sports pitches, and garages. Ensure services meet the highest standards of safety, security, cleanliness, and appearance. Conduct inspections with tenant representatives and Members as required, ensuring follow-up actions are tracked to completion. Ensure health and safety tasks, including fire safety inspections and risk assessments, are completed on time and records are updated. Identify, order, and track communal repairs, ensuring urgent and emergency repairs are prioritized and quality standards are met. Experience Proven experience in delivering services to the public. Experience in maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. Experience in leading and managing teams to work flexibly and collaboratively. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to caretaking and estate services.
