Military RME Area Manager, Reliability Maintenance Engineering - Italy
Purpose of the job: We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people to join our team as an Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager. The role is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety, training, and equipment availability.
Key responsibilities
* Lead, support and mentor the team, ensuring safe & efficient work.
* Collaborate with technical experts to build solutions.
* Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager with safety and statutory compliance programs.
* Implement network standards and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
* Organize training programs and ensure technical coverage for shifts.
* Manage local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned.
* Be prepared to work shifts to stay connected with the team.
Basic qualifications
* Significant practical engineering experience, including supervisory role.
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent experience.
* Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* Experience with automated equipment: packaging machinery, sortation, conveyor systems.
* Proficiency in English and local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
* Experience with health & safety standards and regulations.
* Solid computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
Preferred qualifications
* Experience with PLC-based control systems.
* Project management experience.
* Knowledge of CMMS programs.
* Experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement processes.
