About the Role
We are recruiting a Cell Lead to join our client's Operations team based in Sunbury-on-Thames. This role is ideal for an experienced professional from an aerospace electro-mechanical testing environment seeking a leadership position or wishing to develop team management skills.
The successful candidate will lead a team within a shared services test cell, overseeing testing of complex electro-mechanical systems, managing workflow, and ensuring targets for quality, safety, and delivery are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, schedule, and manage work within the test cell to meet operational goals.
2. Oversee testing of electro-mechanical aerospace components, including calibration of chambers and test rigs.
3. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and engineers, conducting performance reviews and training.
4. Maintain and manage the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) database and generate test reports.
5. Implement Lean manufacturing practices, including 5S and problem-solving activities.
6. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in electro-mechanical testing within the aerospace industry.
2. Experience in a test house or production environment with leadership responsibilities.
3. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, 6S, continuous improvement).
4. Strong technical skills in test rig operations, calibration, and fault investigation.
5. Effective communication skills and ability to lead high-performing teams.
6. Analytical mindset for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
7. Residency in the UK for at least 3 years.
8. Right to work in the UK (no spousal visas accepted).
