About The Role 10:10 Games are looking for an Environment Artist to join our creative and enthusiastic Art team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in our Art department creating both realistic and stylised visually interesting environments, props and set dressing. You will work ideas through from concept to completion with a supportive and successful team. We are looking for a creative and pro-active team player who can problem solve, take direction and also work to clear briefs. What You’ll Do Create high-quality artwork for a wide range of hard-surface and organic realistic and stylised Environment Assets Using these Assets to create full game environments with gameplay, composition, and atmosphere always in mind Ensure artwork follows the agreed project style Work collaboratively with other game artists, as well as members of the wider team Work to deadlines to help the team to produce the game efficiently and in line with the required schedule To assist the Lead artist in supporting and mentoring junior artists Be passionate, motivated and excited about what you do What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 years in games development, supported with a strong portfolio Minimum 1 credited published game Good understanding of the entire UE5 environment art development process from creation to optimisation, maximising game performance Good organisational and time management skills to enable you to work to deadlines and complete tasks efficiently Good communication and teamworking skills, to be able to liaise effectively with other game artists and members of the wider team Good knowledge and technical ability to effectively use software packages and tools that must include: ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter/Designer and Photoshop Good knowledge of art fundamentals – Colour, light, composition A comprehensive understanding of Unreal Bonus Skills: World creator, Mel scripting, Blueprints, Plant Factory The ability to calmly problem-solve issues and help others Good attention to detail to ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with the desired style A desire to keep building your skill set and to learn how to use new software packages as they come onto the market A knowledge of, and passion for, games and the games industry Benefits & Perks Hybrid/flexible working environment (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Zero crunch time 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) Health and Wellbeing package (Private health insurance, EAP, long-term illness cover) Enhanced pension scheme Company-wide bonus scheme
