Our services are at the heart of every community in our region. As part of Water Services, we clean and deliver high quality drinking water to millions of customers and carefully manage it to ensure long-term resilience.
As our Enterprise Control Lead, you'll help prepare the business to operate one of Anglian Water's most significant infrastructure programmes — the 300km+ Strategic Pipeline (Interconnector 1). This digitally enabled transfer system is designed to improve drought resilience and transform how water moves across our region.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and ongoing operation of the Enterprise Control System, developing strong understanding of its architecture, data structures and functionality.
Work with designers and Subject Matter Experts to define and optimise how the strategic pipeline is operated, ensuring project deliverables meet front-line requirements.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements, efficiency improvements and future value creation, producing supporting business cases where required.
Lead process mapping to establish clear operating, maintenance and change control frameworks, including governance and version management once the system has been implemented control frameworks, including governance and version management once in BAU.
Define the organisational roles needed to support future operations and ensure effective transition from project delivery.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs to ensure shared understanding and alignment across Water Services, SPA and the wider business.
Support change management by contributing technical content, delivering training, and helping embed long-term learning pathways for system users.
Promote cultural change, particularly in data quality, version control and cross-team collaboration, while sharing best practice across SPA and AW.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, reporting near misses, and supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and experience of SCADA system design and operation.
Understanding of object-oriented design principles within industrial control environments.
Experience using modern programming languages for control related product development.
Knowledge of role-based access control and digital control product lifecycle management.
Degree level education in a relevant engineering or technical discipline (essential); postgraduate qualification desirable.
