We are looking for a Behaviour & Welfare Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT / Broadwater school and become an integral member of the Behaviour team.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an inspirational Behaviour & Welfare Officer to join Broadwater School and contribute to improving the life chances of young people both within the school and across our Trust.

Our 2024 Progress 8 score of +0.73 places us in the top 7% of schools nationally, and we expect standards to rise even further in 2025.
Main responsibilities:
Investigate reported incidents of poor behaviour in conjunction with other key staff.
Develop and produce resources for individual students and classes, to support an individual’s behaviour programme or support whole school positive behaviour systems.
Develop mentoring programmes to support students in managing their own classroom behaviour and learning.
Work with teaching staff and Head of Years to plan, implement and evaluate pastoral support plans for students.
Liaise with parents and colleagues on student progress and the needs of individuals
Supervise students in the Inclusion Room and ‘check in’ room when required.
Supervise classes for absent staff, delivering the work set by the relevant teacher. You will be required to respond to student requirements in the lesson and ensure adherence to school policies.
