An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Shop Manager to join our team.
The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for managing the team in the machine shop and utilising a computerised management system and their own expertise to ensure the smooth progression of items through the factory. Liaising with other departments and keen planning will be required to meet customer requirements. There will be continual investment and expansion to be overseen within the department as we look to compliment the significant recent investment that has already created an impressive and advanced working environment.
The successful candidate must:
* Have an engineering background and be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in machining processes, specifically CNC milling, turning.
* Have a broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including sawing, plasma cutting and sheet metal work
* Have excellent computer skills. The role will require the utilisation of manufacturing software to track and control the progress of items, and the use of Microsoft Office software.
* Have very good communication skills when liaising with both colleagues and customers.
* Perform work in accordance with the company's health and safety procedures.
* Be highly motivated and offer a keen eye for detail and value precision.
This is a full-time position. The basic factory opening hours are 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 to 12:30 on a Friday. The successful candidate would take responsibility for managing their workload and working the hours necessary to fulfil their duties.
Annual salary would be dependent on skill level and experience.
