Murphy is recruiting for a Project Manager to work within MIL MIL are a structural steel specialist with in house Design, Procurement, Fabrication and installation capabilities operating in the UK and Ireland. Current projects in Energy sector, Rail, Data centres, Infrastructure whilst supporting the Murphy portfolio. Current works include Bridges, AFA schemes, Data centres, Structures across the energy sector. A day in the life of a Murphy Project Manager: • To be fully accountable for the delivery of the projects, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, in accordance with the contract requirements and to budget. • Sets the overall standard on the projects/contract. • Ensure the project requirements are identified and delivered. • Assist design with buildability of structures, technical queries, MAR’s. • Identify issues and ensure they are resolved in a controlled and timely manner. • To ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and actualised. • Quality Assurance, produce ITPs and instigate progressive sign off of works. Red line drawings and collate handover documentation. • Line management of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers. • Responsible for effective client relationship management, collaborative approach and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress. • Endure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required. • Will be expected to resolve most operational issues with any business-critical issues referred to the BU leader. • Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including the delivery of the gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics. NEC contract knowledge preferred. • Overall performance management of subcontractors of the gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics. Still interested, does this sound like you? • Experience in delivering Structural / Steel projects. • Roofing and Cladding experience is desirable • Experience within a Project Managerial role. • HNC / HND or NVQ Level 6 (or Degree level qualification) • Experience of working on complex multi-discipline projects, delivering within programme and cost controls • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
