Description
Greater Than Security are looking to recruit a new apprentice fire and security engineer
The successful apprentice will be learning on the job, and will be supported from day one.
The role will be full time, with block release training in Warrington. You will work across both Security and Fire and grow to become a multi-disciplined engineer.
As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be learning about, and working on, installing, repairing and maintaining the following fire and security equipment:
* CCTV
* Intruder alarms
* Access control
* Door entry
* Fire alarms

Desired skills/qualities:
* A driver's license is essential for this role, as per the employers request
* Ideally live within Liverpool, or within a very short commute
* Experience with electrics, or an eletric-related qualification would be a bonus, but not essential
* Genuine interest in learing more about the wider fire and security industry
* Wanting to start a long career in the fire and security industry
* Technically minded with solid IT skills
* Happy to attend Skills for Security's Warrington training centre one full week in every 8 weeks for block release classroom training
* Presentable, with great customer service
Training to be provided
Skills for Security will deliver the Level 3 apprenticeship.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the Skills for Secuirty training centre, and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies. The closest centre for this vacancy is in Warrington.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
The training centre for this vacancy is located in Walsall. You will attend centre one week in every 8 weeks, Monday - Friday, as part of a block release schedule.

Working hours for this position are generally 8am - 5pm, though this may vary.
You must be willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check.
