A leading infrastructure delivery partner is supporting a major wastewater programme across multiple North West sites. You will join an established MEICA andmissioning team working on critical upgrades to treatment assets and networkmunications.
Your new role
As amissioning Engineer, you will take ownership ofmissioning and troubleshooting Profibus DP/PA networks across several wastewater treatment sites. You will ensure stablemunication between PLCs, MCCs, high‑lift pumps, instrumentation and remote I/O, working closely with electrical, ICA and SCADA teams to deliver safe and reliable integration.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Verifying network topology, segment lengths, termination, shielding and device addressing in line with project and client standards.
2. Integrating andmissioning high‑lift pump systems, including MCCs, VSDs and Profibus‑enabled field devices.
3. Carrying out diagnostics using tools such as BT200, ProfiTrace or Siemens PDM to identify bus faults, noise issues and device failures.
4. Supporting FAT/SAT activities and validating Profibusmunication, redundancy and failover behaviour across multiple sites.
5. Working collaboratively with electrical, ICA and SCADA teams to ensure seamless integration into the wider site control architecture.
6. Producingmissioning documentation, network test sheets and as‑built Profibus configuration records forpliance and handover.
What you’ll need to succeed
7. Strong background in Profibus DP/PAmissioning within water, wastewater or similar process environments.
8. Experience working on operational sites with a solid understanding of MEICA/ICA interfaces.
9. Ability to diagnose and resolveplex network issues using industry‑standard tools.
10. Confident producing clearmissioning documentation and test records.
11. Full UK driving licence and willingness to work across multiple North West sites.
