Job Description
Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards.Youwill be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Key Duties of a Production Manager:
Primary point of contact with the Customer.
Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
Utilise the onsite Warehouse Management systems.
Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations.
Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
Ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
Attend Line Leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required.
Identifyand developLine Leaders to promote success planning.
Training and development of new starters.
Be a role model for best practice.
Monitor, control and minimise waste.
Play an active part in continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Previous experience within a production/co pack environment.
Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
Ableto communicate in a positive and clear manner.
Knowledge ofprocedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
A commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
Able to work towards targets/KPIs.
Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance, in order to achieve service objectives.
