Job Summary
In this role you will work as part of a multi-disciplined Engineering team providing shift engineering support and solutions to the St Austell facility in line with business requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. The job holder is aware of all relevant Procedures and Instructions as per company policy that apply to the position covered by this job description.
2. Act as the first point of contact for fault diagnosis, investigation and problem solving in the event of break-downs for all site machinery from both an electrical* & mechanical perspective.
3. Maintaining equipment and services by carrying out planned maintenance and improvements.
4. Undertake projects as directed by the Engineering Supervisor.
5. Manage, track and record all work on the maintenance management system.
6. Undertake continuous improvement through the use of lean sigma tools.
7. Liaise with the Shift Supervisor to ensure any equipment faults or instances of poor quality are prioritised, investigated and dealt with in a timely fashion.
8. Report asset and equipment status at the end of each shift.
9. Attend the LDMS to report asset and equipment status.
10. Other duties as assigned

Education
11. Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent) – Electrical Mechanical
12. Recognised Risk and COSHH Assessment training.
13. Level 3 qualification in the English language
14. Level 3 qualification in numeracy
Work Experience
15. Relevant experience in fault recognition and rectification in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
16. Technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
17. Hands on technical skills in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
18. Competent and experienced in carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
19. Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental working practices.
20. Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas
21. Ability to manage small projects.
22. Ability to work as part of a team.
23. Ability to work independently and autonomously
24. Ability to develop working relationships across all levels of the business
25. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
26. Demonstrate a can do attitude
27. Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
28. Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
29. Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
30. Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
Travel Requirements
5%: Up to 13 business days per year
