Onshore Commissioning Manager

Up to £700 per day
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Onshore Commissioning Manager to join the company that leads the charge in transforming global energy systems, significantly reducing carbon emissions, and combating climate change. They transform the energy landscape with expansive offshore wind farms, innovative solar projects, and pioneering green hydrogen technology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure on-time commissioning of the onshore substation ready for handover to operation.
* Establish and manage the onshore commissioning organization within the full electrical scope including installation, quality, and commissioning of LV, MV, HV, protection, and SCADA equipment.
* Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction.
* Coordinate commissioning activities with main suppliers.
* Coordinate project commissioning activities.
* Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation.
* Report installation and commissioning progress and participate in commissioning.
* Ensure that quality is within the agreed standard during construction.
* Ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to agreed standards.
* Provide input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ).
* After contract signing, ensure updating of Critical to Quality (CTQ) and control of CTQ is transferred to Quality Activity Schedule (QAS).
* Ensure compliance with Technical Employers Requirements in product commissioning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Experience with onshore substations.
* Experience with connection to the National Grid.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team of supervisors.
* Ability to evaluate and mitigate time schedules.
* Five years of relevant project experience required.
* Good project management skills, coordination skills, and a talent for driving solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
* Commissioning experience within the field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage, and utility installations and components.
* Experience with onshore substations work.
