Mechanical Project Manager

A leading global construction and consultancy firm renowned for delivering some of the world’s most complex and high-profile projects across healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager. This role is for a major life science project in Oxford.
Role Overview:
As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading the mechanical package from pre-construction through to completion. This includes overseeing design finalisation, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring successful project delivery in line with safety, quality, and programme expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver the mechanical package within a collaborative project team environment
* Manage and resolve MEP design issues using technical expertise and internal processes
* Coordinate subcontractors, sub-subcontractors, and suppliers
* Oversee the interface and integration between MEP packages
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders, including the client and design/construction teams
* Identify and mitigate project risks
* Support the project’s commitment to net zero carbon goals by actively managing associated emissions and reductions
Package & Benefits:
* Salary: £85,000-£95,000
* Car Allowance: £7,000

Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge in mechanical project management
* Experience managing packages from pre-construction through to handover
* Familiarity with planning and scheduling tools, critical path management, and key release milestones
* Solid understanding of health & safety (e.g. working at height, fire safety, lifting, logistics)
* Proficient in quality assurance and system commissioning, including Cause & Effect, BMS, and IST
* Relevant qualifications: BTEC/HNC (or equivalent)
* Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS certification
