Dining Pub with Rooms | Cotswolds
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and creative Sous Chef to join the Head Chef and kitchen team at this stunning country dining pub in the heart of the Cotswolds. As Sous Chef, you will support and deputise for the Head Chef, playing a key role in delivering fantastic seasonal dishes for both the local community and staying guests.
The Perks
The successful Sous Chef can expect:
Basic salary: £35,000
Service charge: £8,000-£10,000 per year on top
Live-in accommodation available (approx. £320 per month)
Studio apartment above the pub
4-day working week

The Place
Our client is a beautiful dining pub with rooms, ideally located between Chipping Norton and Woodstock. This family-run freehouse is well known for its modern British, seasonal menus changing monthly, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner across bar and dining spaces, as well as a sunny walled garden. Above the pub are six individually designed bedrooms and a high-quality cottage, all finished to an excellent standard.
The Person
The ideal Sous Chef will have:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
Strong fresh-food background, ideally rosette level
A solid and consistent work history
A genuine passion for seasonal, ingredient-led cooking
The confidence to contribute creatively to menu development
Willingness to attend a working trial and cook-off
Flexibility with working hours
A full driving licence due to the rural location, even if live-in is taken
