Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Location: Garforth
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Service Care are delighted to be working with a forward‑thinking accountancy practice that is looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join their team. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, primarily handling payrolls for 1-30 staff members.
The practice values work‑life balance and offers flexible start/finish times, a four‑day working week, and is open to part‑time candidates.
What you will be doing
* Payroll processing for weekly, 4‑weekly, and monthly payrolls
* Calculating wages, bonuses, overtime, and statutory payment deductions
* Ensuring compliance with tax and employment legislation
* Preparing and submitting payroll reports
* Maintaining up‑to‑date employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy
* Handling payroll amendments, starters, leavers, and year‑end processes
* Acting as the main point of contact for your portfolio, managing queries and providing payroll advice
* Reconciling payroll reports
* Processing CIS returns for contractors
* Carrying out other ad‑hoc duties as required
What you will have
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience within payroll
* Experience running multiple payrolls
* Strong organisational skills
* High attention to detail
