The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance function based in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will support accurate and timely management reporting, commercial analysis, and oversee a small team within a dynamic and evolving business.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly Group Management Accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
* Preparation of monthly Board packs for senior stakeholders
* Support the continuous improvement of month-end processes
* Analyse and report on cost drivers, margins, and profitability by product, channel, and region
* Provide commercial insight and recommendations to support decision-making
* Business partner with departmental heads on budgets, overheads, and cost control
* Support statutory accounts preparation
* Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Ad hoc reporting and analysis
* Support the annual external audit process
About You
* CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified
* Advanced Excel skills
* Previous finance experience within industry
* Strong attention to detail and deadline management
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience using AI-enabled tools to support reporting or process efficiency would be advantageous

£45,000 - £50,000
