Step into the classroom and make a real difference as a Cover Supervisor, inspiring students and supporting their learning every day:

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and talented team at Bristol Brunel Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Cover Supervisor who will supervise whole classes and/or small groups during the short-term absence of the timetabled class teacher, whether planned or un-planned absence. Ensure students carry out the curriculum tasks set by the absent teacher, assisting them to understand the nature of the work set, managing student behaviour and minimising the impact of the teacher’s absence on their learning.

About you:

You will have:

2. the ability to assimilate information to facilitate the delivery of lesson plans effectively.
3. a basic knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
4. excellent standard of oral and written communication skills and ability to understand and convey information effectively.
5. good organisational and efficient administration skills.
6. the skills to build effective working relationships with teachers and other academy staff.

Applicants are advised to refer to the full requirements of the role in the attached job description and person specification, prior to submitting an application.
