Mechanical Engineer - Waste & Generation (Energy) role at Stantec.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Waste and Generation Team on a wide variety of projects, including conventional EfW plants, district heating, gasification projects, hydrogen generation schemes, and biogas production projects.
* Involve in the whole project life cycle, from optioneering through detailed design and installation.
* Contribute to feasibility studies, site surveys, and investigations; develop designs and project-wide solutions with clients, partners, and team members across Stantec’s Energy and Resources sector.
* Support HSE responsibilities within design and project activities, fostering a culture of open scrutiny and continuous improvement.
* Create specifications and scoping documents for award of construction packages and assess vendor designs and progress.
* Communicate technical updates to clients and team members; produce General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams as part of collaborative design outputs.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, ideally with the energy/power sector or related process plant sector.
* Ideally Chartered or on the path to Chartered status.
* Experience producing technical specifications across technologies such as steam, piping, hydrogen, biomass, EfW plants, etc.; ability to develop and communicate project updates to clients and teams.
* Experience creating specifications and scoping documents for construction packages and evaluating vendor designs and progress.
