Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor
Location: Templecombe
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Templecombe. This role is key in supporting the Facilities Manager with the delivery of our Technical Services contract, ensuring our client’s sites are maintained to the highest standards.
You will oversee the day-to-day management of engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring routine maintenance and reactive works are completed effectively, on time, and in line with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll drive performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and manage a team of engineers to deliver planned and reactive maintenance.
2. Identify, plan, and oversee remedial works, ensuring timely completion.
3. Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, including audits and performance reviews.
4. Support the Facilities Manager with capital replacement programmes and asset management.
5. Act as the main point of contact for clients in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
6. Ensure all works are completed safely, on budget, and to agreed SLAs/KPIs.
7. Coach, support, and develop team members to drive engagement and performance.
8. Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, including toolbox talks and permit-to-work compliance.
9. Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
10. Ensure accurate documentation is completed from job initiation to closure and billing.
11. Proactively suggest improvements to systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For
Security clearance will be required
12. Proven experience supervising Hard FM services in commercial or industrial environments.
13. Experience managing a team of engineers aswell as building management experience.
14. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, with a commitment to safe systems of work.
15. Relevant technical qualifications or significant experience in Mechanical (Electrical knowledge desirable).
16. Confident leader with experience in managing people, performance, and subcontractors.
17. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships.
18. Organised, proactive, and able to deliver to tight deadlines.
