Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Bench Assembly Technician
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £12.21 per hour + performance bonus
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Thurs: 8:30am-5:00pm, Fri: 8:30am-3:45pm)

We're seeking a detail-oriented Bench Assembly Technician with a strong foundation in electrical systems and mechanical assembly to support our growing production team.
Job Purpose:
As an Electro-Mechanical Bench Assembly Technician, your job purpose will be to assemble medical gas control devices, components and sub-assemblies at a workstation or bench according to engineering drawings, quality standards, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and fit electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and semi-automated equipment
* Carry out electrical repairs and rework on assembled units, ensuring full functionality and compliance with specifications
* Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to guide accurate assembly and fault diagnosis
* Conduct thorough visual and functional quality checks on electrical and mechanical assemblies
* Identify and report defects or non-conforming materials to the quality control team
* Maintain accurate production records and report task completion to the team lead
* Perform minor adjustments and repairs to ensure product reliability
* Maintain a clean and safe workstation, adhering to all safety protocols
* Meet daily/weekly production targets while upholding high-quality standards
* Assist with inventory control of electrical and mechanical components
* Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and team members to resolve technical assembly issues
About you:
* GCSEs or equivalent (Maths and English preferred)
* Technical or vocational qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or manufacturing (advantageous)
