Resourcery Group are partnering with a high-growth, regulated financial services business to recruit a Head of Finance who will act as a critical number two to the CFO and a key part of the succession plan.
This is a high-impact leadership role within a business undergoing a significant transformation moving into controlled, scalable growth, with ambitious plans to build a top-tier UK offering in its market .
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a trusted deputy and play a central role in shaping and scaling the finance function. This is a broad, commercially focused leadership role combining financial control, reporting excellence, and strategic business partnering. The team is, at present, smaller but there are plans to scale the function under the guidance of the Head of Finance. As such, applicants must be comfortable working in a hands-on environment initiall.
You will:
* Deputise for the CFO and support executive decision-making
* Own financial control across P&L, balance sheet, and audit
* Lead all financial and regulatory reporting, including prudential and funding requirements
* Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business to drive performance
* Help design and build a fit-for-purpose finance function to support significant growth
* Contribute to funding strategy, financial planning, and long-term scalability

* Rebuilt its leadership team and strengthened regulatory relationships
* Established strong digital and data foundations to enable scalable growth
* Developed a clear plan to significantly grow revenue and profitability over the next 3 years
* Implemented a disciplined, consumer duty-led operating model with strong governance and controls

About You
We’re looking for a well-rounded finance leader with:
* A finance qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified)
* Proven experience in regulated financial services (essential)
* Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, controls, and audit
* Experience with prudential / regulatory reporting and funding structures (desirable not essential)
* A commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision-making
* Track record of senior stakeholder management, including C-suite exposure
* Leadership experience with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
* A proactive, hands-on approach suited to a scaling environment
