Care Assistant (Care Home)
Location: Kirk Lane, Livingston or Holmesview, Broxburn. Permanent full‑time, part‑time or bank posts available.

Responsibilities
* Promote the highest standards of care within the nursing home
* Uphold residents' rights to privacy, dignity and choice
* Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors
* Adhere to SSSC Code of Conduct
* Maintain a good example at all times in dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour
* Report any injuries, disease or dangerous practice to relevant personnel
* Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and statutory bodies
Qualifications
* Minimum of 1 year care experience, including nursing home, hospital or community setting; student nurses welcome
* Experience working with elderly and knowledge of dementia care
* Good reasons for working in care may be considered for candidates without prior experience, depending on skill mix
* Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills for self and team
* Problem‑solving ability and ability to manage diverse situations effectively
* Strong oral and written communication skills, especially report writing
* Professional appearance and behaviour at all times
* For Principal Carer post: SVQ 3 essential plus team leadership experience in a care environment
