About The Role
As a Delivery Engineer – Site Inspector, your main purpose will be to proactively manage contract performance and compliance and manage repair and Maintenance (R&M) processes for the Southern Water region & supporting functions.

What You Will Be Responsible For
* Managing Contractor performance via Southern Water/Service Providers reporting mechanisms (Ellipse/Waterworx/GEOMAPS).
* Acting as county focal point of contact (all functions) for R&M related issues.
* Managing R&M defects for Southern Water and the contractor/service providers.
* Verification & challenge of defect work orders; processing defect paperwork submitted by or challenged from service providers.
* Verification & work completion check & challenge as appropriate for Burst Main activities; document & manage within the database tracker (year-end auditable trail).
* Handling Early Warning Noticing (EWN) relating to high-cost inclusions – Traffic Management/Large Excavations.
* Involvement of R&M related issues across Southern Water and provision of advice regarding R&M specifications.
* Acting as point of contact within each area.
* Proactive management of contractor performance & compliance: ensure contractors meet performance standards and comply with regulations.
* Management of repair & maintenance (R&M) processes: oversee R&M processes for the Southern Water region and support functions.
* A full UK Driving Licence is required for this role.

* Good all-round operational experience in the water operations field is an advantage.
* Street works qualifications/License
* Good computer skills and IT literacy; familiar with Microsoft supporting frameworks
* Communication skills and ability to liaise with business partners regarding operations
* Attending core meetings as invited
* Leadership and Management
* Ability to manage difficult situations with external bodies (customers, Leakage/Service providers & Contractors) and internally within Southern Water
