Service Care Solutions are working alongside North Northamptonshire who are looking for a dedicated and technically minded Billing and Recovery Officer to join their team on a temporary contract. Role: Billing and Recovery Officer Salary: £19 to 21 (PAYE exc.) / £21 to £24 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd) Location: Kettering, Northampton Working: Hybrid 2-3 days home working (following an initial training period) Contract: 6 months on going. Role Overview: Manage the full life-cycle of Council Tax billing and recovery. Process amendments, discounts, exemptions, and changes of circumstances in line with current legislation and local procedures. Use the Academy system confidently to maintain accurate records and update accounts at all recovery stages. Respond to customer enquiries professionally by phone, email, and written correspondence. Interpret and apply relevant Council Tax legislation in day-to-day decision-making. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners where necessary.
