About the role

Due to company growth, we are currently looking to recruit an additional full time Assembly Technician, to add to our existing controls team.

The assembly technician will be based in the Controls Department and will be responsible for the assembly of Excitor electrical panels.


Primary responsibilities

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
* Assembly of various Excitor panels with reference to engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Electrical testing of various Excitor panels with reference to test procedures and work instructions.
* Service repair and testing of all Excitor Panels
* Ensure all paperwork i.e. job cards, traceability sheets and product records are accurate and kept up to date.
* Maintain all assembly tooling and fixtures ensuring these are always returned to correct location in working order.
* Maintain all test equipment are within calibration.
* Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
* Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
* Participate in shift rotas as and when required.
* Participate in project and technical meetings as required either through own initiation in support of assigned projects or at request of other areas.


Qualifications and experience

* SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline (preferred)
* Mechanical, Electrical or any other Engineering qualification (preferred)
* Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
* CompEx EX01,2,3 & 4 (preferred, not essential)
* IPC 610 (preferred, not essential)
* Basic electrical skills, fault finding & testing of electrical panels.
* Be fully competent working alone and in a team environment.
* Demonstrable workshop or technician experience within an assembly workshop environment.
* Experience working on product assemblies.
