What are we looking for?
We are currently looking to recruit an Administrator tosupport the Court of Protection Property and Affairs teams in our Manchester,Reading and Durham offices.
Where will you be based?
This role will be based in our Durham office, but we mayexpect you to travel and work from other offices from time to time.
How many hours will you be working?
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week,Monday to Friday, with your core hours being 9am to 5pm. During probation,youll usually work from the office five days a week, though flexibility may bepossible. Following probation, the role is likely to adopt a hybrid approach,with a minimum of four office days per week.
A brief overview of the role:
This role works within the Court of Protection, Property& Affairs department. The main responsibilities of the role include supporting seniormanagers with diary management, emails, internal processes, client contact and team management(internal organisation).

About the Role
Getting paid for the work you do.
As an Administrator in our Court of Protection, Property& Affairs team, you will play a vital role in supporting the fee earnersand ensuring the smooth running of the department. Your responsibilities may include:
* Providing general administrative support to the team, including audio and copy typing for fee earners.
* Preparing Court of Protection and Trust files for billing, including end-of-year billing tasks such as bundling and preparing documents for the Law Costs Draftsman and the Senior Courts Cost Office.
* Organising meetings for Court of Protection and Trust clients, including preparing agendas and taking minutes for the teams monthly meetings.
* Managing diaries to ensure meetings and key deadlines are scheduled and met.
* Opening new Deputy and Trust files on the case management system and carrying out conflict checks.
* Monitoring and recording new enquiries received by the team.
* Handling incoming and outgoing post, ensuring all documentation from relevant parties is received, processed, and accurately recorded.
To be able to perform this job you will need.
* Strong typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, as well as confidence using email systems, portals, and other relevant IT platforms.
* Previous administration or support experience, ideally within a Court of Protection, Property & Affairs team (desirable but not essential).
* The ability to proactively manage and organise meetings, including setting agendas, taking minutes, following up on actions, and cascading information, while using initiative and demonstrating a high level of independent thinking.
* Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to adhering to firm policies and procedures at all times, maintaining strict client confidentiality.
* A positive, motivated attitude, with the initiative to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
* The confidence to escalate serious concerns to the Team Leader promptly and appropriately.
