Lecturer – Medieval Art and Architecture

Contract & Salary
Full time, 12‑month contract (35 hours a week) from Oct 2026 to Sept 2027.
Grade: LLEC.
Salary: £44,247 rising to £60,858 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in medieval art and architecture, including curating and option modules at levels 6 and 7.
* Supervise BA and MA dissertations.
* Act as personal tutor for a group of students.
* Convenor of modules.
* Participate in the research‑led teaching team at the School of Historical Studies.
Qualifications
* PhD in art history (or equivalent) with a strong focus on medieval art and architecture.
* Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student cohorts at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
* Track record of scholarship and research in the field.
* Excellent pedagogical skills and commitment to student learning.
* Ability to contribute to curriculum development and module convening.
