The Role
A pivotal aspect of the commissioning of our live data centre projects is the collation and organisation of all technical documentation. The role will require dedicated collection of all technical documentation as part of the testing, commissioning and handover phase. Ensure accuracy, distribution, compliance, version control, confidentiality and maintenance of documentation for retrieval.
The role will require you to work as a collaborative member of the team – facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practiceto the wider team, clientsand other projectstakeholders. Maintain responsibility for your own performance, and continually developing skills and knowledge. Assist as required with general administration, and drive improvements within the document control scope.
MainResponsibilities
* To ensure all technical files/drawings are filed and named correctly.
* Collate and developing testingpacks and technicalhandover packs.
* To ensure technical files/drawings are pushed throughthe project workflowcorrectly and in a timely manner.
* Expedite late documentation from clients, suppliers, internal and consultants. Specifically all technical handover information and testing documentation.
* To ensure markups and comments can be uploadedand reviewed by all.
* To promote collaboration betweenclients, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors.
* To ensure the correctgroups and individuals are notified of files/drawings which require theirattention.
* And to make sure that peoplearen’t being notifiedof files/drawings irrelevant to them.
* Introduce a process to assign specificfiles/drawings to the relevant individuals for review.
* To ensure the workflowand review processis simple to use and effective for the projectreducing rather than increasing workload.
* Responsible for collation of technical/commissioning documentation at project handover.
* Download and publishing documents / drawings in accordance with project procedure as agreed with the relevant Technical Project Manager.
* Track all incoming and outgoing technical documentation, including loggingin registers and issuing document transmittals.
* Expedite late documentation from Clients and subcontractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant for the role.
KNOWLEDGE
Sound knowledge and demonstrated ability in areas of engineering/manufacturing.
Excellent people and communication management skills.
EXPERIENCE
Be ableto demonstrate firm experience in document control.
