Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Support and guide the Hospital Radio presenters
* Ensure smooth and effective running of the station
* Ensure effective scheduling of shows
* Ensure all presenters are fully trained, supported, understand the technology and also their responsibility and compliance with Ofcom guidelines
* Help with the marketing of the station within our hospitals and building the stations identity
* Lead new approaches to take the radio station forwards including the development of more shows for diverse audiences
* Lead the development and implementation of methods for patients and staff to interact with the station i.e. requests via radio liaison volunteers on the wards
* Oversee external social media to ensure in line with the Trusts values and social media policy
* Keep abreast with Hospital Radio Broadcasting Association (HBA) and other methods to ensure we continue to modernise our station
* Ensure sound governance in place for managing the station including regular meetings and communication cascades with all stakeholders

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf.
