Some pupils just need a little more time and encouragement to feel confident at school. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll help them find their rhythm in lessons, routines, and friendships. You’ll see real progress every day while building experience that can shape your future career in education or psychology.
This is a full-time KS2 Teaching Assistant position starting Monday 17th November. The role begins on a 12-week temporary basis with a clear pathway to permanent employment. You’ll join a welcoming, inclusive team that values patience, humour, and shared responsibility.
Responsibilities:

Provide consistent classroom and small-group support across KS2.

Work with pupils who have autism and other additional needs.
*
Adapt learning activities to match individual strengths and goals.
*
Build positive relationships that encourage participation and progress.
*
Support the class teacher in maintaining a calm, structured learning environment.
*
Contribute to a team culture where every TA’s ideas and input are valued.
Requirements:

Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent classroom experience.
*
Psychology graduates with school-based experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
*
Recent experience (within 3 years) supporting pupils with SEND.
*
Calm, empathetic communication style and strong teamwork skills.
*
Commitment to providing long-term, stable support.
