Continuous Improvement Lead
Programme Name: LCST
Location: Bristol, UK. The role will be hybrid, with expectations to be in the office at least one day per week and some UK travel required.
Role Overview
Leidos Europe Ltd is seeking a UK-based Continuous Improvement Lead (CIL) who is a motivated self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. The role focuses on the Logistics and Mission Support Division working on the Ministry of Defence Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST) Programme.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Continuous Improvement, the Continuous Improvement Lead will support the CI framework and capability, acting as the first point of contact for new CI opportunities. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, with strategic input within a growing business, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality CI projects.
You should have an analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into simple solutions, and excellent communication skills to engage with senior management and stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead CI projects using methodologies such as PDCA/DMAIC, focusing on cost reduction, benefits, and efficiencies.
2. Create and manage CI dashboards for senior stakeholder communication.
3. Assess processes for streamlining, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
4. Develop detailed implementation plans with timelines and resources.
5. Support workshops, training, and coaching on CI methodologies.
Skills Required
1. Certification in a relevant CI discipline.
2. Data analysis skills with experience processing large datasets and creating visualizations.
3. Experience in operations environment.
4. Strong communication, leadership, and partnership skills.
5. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
6. UK citizenship and ability to obtain SC clearance.
7. Willingness to travel UK-wide.
Skills Desired
1. Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, MS Office, Jira.
2. Experience with LEAN methodologies.
3. Active SC clearance.
Clearance Requirements
* BPSS pre-screening required to start.
* SC clearance required for the role.
