Data Analyst
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Location: Walsall / Birmingham / Worcester (Hybrid)
SF Technology is supporting a well-established organisation in recruiting a skilled, hands-on Data Analyst with strong SQL expertise. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be the go-to SQL specialist in a busy, supportive data team undergoing system changes and increased data demands.
The Role
You'll act as the primary SQL and reporting specialist, ensuring data flows smoothly and supporting colleagues during a period of operational pressure and organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
1. SQL & Reporting (core focus)
Write advanced SQL queries, views and stored procedures
Build & maintain reports and dashboards (Excel, internal tools, some Power BI)
Work with datasets across care, operations and fundraising
Troubleshoot data issues and support colleagues on SQL
2. Technical Ownership
Serve as the main SQL/reporting point of contact
Prioritise tasks alongside the Senior Analyst
Maintain consistent reporting during a major system rollout
3. Data Quality & Process Improvement
Support audits, data cleansing and validation
Streamline data processes and improve documentation
Ensure consistent logic across reporting outputs
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with non-technical teams including nurses, fundraising and operations
Communicate data clearly and simply
Provide informal mentoring to junior team members
What They're Looking For
Must have:
Strong SQL (top requirement)
2-4 years in a Data Analyst role
Confident working with multiple systems & datasets
Proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership
Able to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Charity or healthcare experience
CRM / database exposure (e.g., SystmOne, Donorfy)
Power BI / DAX knowledge
