Head of Enforcement Academy & Field Excellence About the role We are looking for an experienced and credible senior leader to join us as Head of Enforcement Academy & Field Excellence. This is a high-impact role with accountability for the success of the Enforcement Academy, the learning and professional development of our entire enforcement field force, and the engagement and communication of enforcement colleagues across the business. You will ensure a consistent, high-quality pipeline of Enforcement Agents who are fully trained, certified, and deployment-ready, while also driving continuous development, engagement, and strong alignment to Marston’s core values across our existing workforce. Working closely with National Enforcement Directors, the Contact Centre Director, and HR (Learning & Development), you will play a critical role in workforce sustainability, professionalism, and cultural cohesion, ensuring enforcement staff feel informed, supported, and part of the wider organisation. Key responsibilities Enforcement Academy & Workforce Pipeline Lead, design, and continuously develop the Enforcement Academy as a high-performing, values-led capability Own the end-to-end resourcing and training pipeline, delivering a consistent flow of qualified and certified Enforcement Agents Ensure all trainees meet required standards of competence, professionalism, and readiness prior to deployment Maintain oversight of certification, accreditation, assessment processes, and progression pathways Learning, Development & Professional Standards Lead the design and delivery of academy and field learning programmes, including: Initial training Refresher and continuous development Remedial and targeted interventions E-learning and blended learning solutions Embed ethical practice, professionalism, and Marston’s core values into all learning activity Ensure learning frameworks align with legislation, operational requirements, and best practice Act as the single point of accountability between Operations and HR for academy and field learning activity Field Engagement & Communications Own all field-facing communications, ensuring enforcement colleagues are informed, engaged, and clear on expectations and organisational direction Establish effective two-way communication channels so field feedback informs learning and engagement activity Act as a visible, trusted, and credible leader for enforcement staff Recruitment & HR Partnership Partner with the People Team to support enforcement recruitment strategy, including role profiles, competency frameworks, and selection standards Support onboarding, probation, early-career development, and apprenticeship or funded pathways Provide professional input into capability and development discussions where required Professional Standards & Operational Insight Lead the review and analysis of body-worn video (BWV) to support learning, coaching, and standards improvement Identify trends, risks, and best practice, translating insight into training and guidance Provide objective, evidence-based feedback to operational leaders to drive continuous improvement Leadership, Governance & Reporting Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement Maintain oversight of academy standards, resources, and delivery Produce insight and reporting on academy performance, workforce readiness, and engagement trends Represent the Enforcement Academy in internal and external forums as required About you You will be a confident and credible leader with high levels of integrity and professional judgement, able to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels. Essential experience and skills Significant experience in enforcement, compliance, or regulatory environments Strong understanding of professional standards, training frameworks, and workforce development Experience reviewing operational practice and providing constructive, evidence-based feedback Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work collaboratively across HR, operations, and senior leadership teams Desirable Formal qualification or training in education, compliance, or professional standards Experience providing consultancy or advisory support in operational environments Why join us?
