Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the delivery of complex healthcare building projects across London and the wider UK. This role is ideal for a senior construction professional with a strong technical foundation, proven leadership capability, and a track record of successfully delivering large‑scale design & build schemes within the UK built environment.
You will be responsible for overseeing full project lifecycles-from early strategic planning and stakeholder engagement through to design management, procurement, delivery, and handover-ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and commercial performance.
Key Requirements
15+ years of industry experience (20+ years preferred) within major building projects.
Demonstrable experience operating as a Project Director on large‑scale D&B schemes in the UK.
Strong background working with both British and international contractors, with the ability to navigate complex delivery environments.
Commercially astute, with proven responsibility for managing £10m+ design packages and driving value throughout the project lifecycle.
Deep understanding of UK building regulations, procurement routes, and risk management.
NHS / healthcare project experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with HTMs, HBNs, clinical adjacencies, and stakeholder engagement within live hospital environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
