Multi-Skilled Engineer
Seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (either mechanical or electrical bias) to maintain and improve manufacturing equipment within a fast-moving FMCG company. You'll start on a structured day shift, moving into a rotating back and night shift pattern once you've completed your competency period.
Role details
Based on-site near Paisley, starting on a day shift with a move to rotating back and night shifts after competency. The salary will increase with shift allowance once you complete the competency period. Evening and Saturday morning overtime is also available.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair on production equipment.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime and support safe operation.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and restoring equipment to service promptly.
- Supporting and delivering project work across the factory as required.
- Working with other engineers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Qualifications in either electrical or mechanical engineering with strong skills in your specialism.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a range of production machinery.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Flexibility to move onto rotational back and night shifts following the competency period.
