The Rural Payments and Inspection Division teams of professional agricultural, customer service and administrative staff are based in a network of 17 offices located around rural Scotland. These teams manage the implementation of agricultural, environmental and rural policies, process applications for funding and provide high quality customer service. The Scheme Processing Coordinator performs a key role in the work of the Division and is a key point of contact for farmers and the rural community. This post is engaged in a wide variety of duties combining delivering exceptional customer service along with managing scheme processing. Responsibilities Engagement with customers to enable them to understand changes to support of Scottish agriculture. Working to gather, verify, assess information to enable an accurate decision to be taken that may impact an assessment for a payment. Prepared to react quickly and professionally to situations, some of which may be unexpected and may involve vulnerable or challenging individuals. Communicates and collaborates across boundaries. Leads teams and provides direction and motivation in an inclusive way. Plans team workloads to ensure excellent customer service. Uses continuous improvement methodology to improve service delivery. Qualifications Success Profile Success profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of skills, experience and behaviours candidates will be assessed on. Experience A detailed understanding of the methods for analysing complex data and a demonstrated ability of making recommendations based on this analysis. Demonstrated IT skills, including in-depth knowledge of RPID systems. An understanding and experience of delivering training including to stakeholders. A detailed understanding of solutions to delivering local and national communication projects. A detailed understanding of the Scottish Government Support Schemes available to Farmers and Land managers. A detailed understanding of the range of Information & Technology available to Rural Payments and Inspection Directorate (RPID) that allows for successful application processing and correct verification outcomes.
