Project Manager - Construction
Location: Southampton / Hampshire
Salary: Up to £65,000 + package (DOE)
We are working with a well-established, forward-thinking construction consultancy who are seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team. This role would suit an ambitious Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step up into a fully client-facing position.
The Role:
You'll lead projects from early stages through to completion, working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll take ownership of delivery, communication, and overall project performance.
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end project delivery across a mix of construction projects
Attend and lead client meetings, providing clear and confident communication
Produce programmes, budgets, reports, and progress updates
Handle risk management, contract administration, and change control
Oversee design coordination and procurement processes
Maintain excellent standards of health, safety, and quality
Support junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment Requirements:
Ideally 5+ years' experience in a project management or assistant PM role
Consultancy background preferred (main contracting experience also considered)
Strong client-facing skills with the confidence to lead meetings
Good understanding of construction processes, procurement, and contract admin
Relevant degree or professional qualification (RICS / CIOB / MAPM advantageous)
Organised, proactive, and keen to progress What's on Offer:
