Cattery Worker Job Description
Job Summary
The Cattery Worker will play a pivotal role in supporting the Cattery Manager in the care, maintenance, and daily operations of the Sanctuary & Boarding Cattery. This position involves direct care of the cats, including cleaning, feeding, grooming, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Cattery Worker will also be involved in the administration, including managing bookings, liaising with visitors and customers, and maintaining records. Additionally, the role involves basic veterinary care, supporting fundraising efforts, and working alongside other staff to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
Responsibilities
* Provide daily care for cats, including feeding and grooming,
* Maintain cleanliness of the cattery by regularly cleaning and sanitising cages, litter boxes, and common areas.
* Monitor the health and behaviour of the cats, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management promptly.
* Assist with customer service duties, including greeting visitors, answering questions about services, and providing updates on their pets.
* Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both the animals and staff members.
* Participate in heavy lifting tasks when required, such as moving supplies or assisting with larger cats.

Skills
* A passion for animal care is crucial.
