Overview of role and responsibilities
As part of our investment offering we utilise fund structure vehicles, domiciled in a number of jurisdictions. These vehicles allow us to provide our investment philosophy to clients in an efficient and effective way. The management of these fund vehicles is the responsibility of the Fund Solutions Team, and we are looking for an Analyst to enhance our capacity and capabilities in this team.
The role will involve developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to ensure our investment funds operate efficiently from both a cost and operational perspective. The Fund Solutions Analyst will also be a point of contact for queries raised by the Client Teams, Investment Team and other internal departments relating to fund matters, as well as for external third parties such as Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs), Custodians, Transfer Agents and Administrators.
In addition, the Funds Solutions Analyst will work with the Head of Fund Solutions and other team members to maintain awareness of the in-house fund vehicles across the business by providing relevant and timely information as necessary. Alongside the team, they will ensure that internal staff are kept informed of new fund initiatives and structures.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and managing relationships with external service providers (incl. fund operators and fund administrators) to ensure they meet our service expectations
* Attending weekly and monthly service calls
* Coordinating due diligence documentation and visits from external AIFMs
* Supporting new fund launches, including opening accounts and setting up new share classes
* Liaising with AIFMs on KIDs and EMT for new sub funds
* Attending and acting as Secretary for the monthly Fund Structuring Working Group
* Maintaining and disseminating fund specific information to key internal stakeholders
* Maintaining month-end processes – shareholder registers, Investment Manager commentaries for Report & Accounts, review of fees and invoices
* Creating and maintaining Team procedures documentation
Experience, Skills and Competencies
* Demonstrable interest in financial services, ideally with experience of wealth management / private banking
* Hands-on experience of financial services operations, having spent time working directly in a front, middle and/or back office to understand client and trade lifecycles
* Knowledge of onshore and/or offshore fund structures beneficial
* Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and maintain exceptional attention to detail even when working under pressure
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external parties
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to create solutions for our wide range of clients and their evolving needs
